Congratulations to the entire SFCJL Community on our 150th anniversary.
My family has been involved with the Jewish Home for over 50 of those 150 years. As a result, it is an important and cherished part of my family. My Mother and Father were proud of what the Jewish Home represented.
My Mother was involved with the Women’s Auxiliary and my Father served as President of the Home. Twenty years later, I also served as Chair of the Board of Trustees. Almost every time I visit the campus someone remembers my parents which adds to my pleasure of being an active member of the community.
I fondly remember the monthly Birthday Lunches, the Hanukkah Shows, the dedication of the Synagogue, multiple B’nai Mitzvahs, and the creation of a music DVD, “Island on A Hill”, with songs written by our residents The list goes on and on. I am very proud to be a part this wonderful community.
As a physician, I have always appreciated the excellent medical care that is delivered in a warm and welcoming environment.
